Fruit Passions
A lot of people think twice when it comes to eating fruits because, to many, fruits are full of sugar. But I say have some fruit. Why? Here are 10 reasons (from The Fruit Pages):
1. Fruit consists, for the most part, of water. Just like the human body.2. Fruit is 100% bad-cholesterol free.3. Fruit stimulates the memory.4. Fruit can make you feel better.5. Fruit is comparatively inexpensive.6. Fruit has miraculous healing effects.7. Fiber. Fruit contains natural fiber.8. It's ethical to eat fruit — no killing or slaughtering, just picking.9. Fruit is the natural food — it is designed to be eaten.10. Fruit is an integral part of any diet.
Even during my pre-competition dieting, I ate fruit. For example, I would recommend 1 kiwi or 3 strawberries as a dessert with lunch per day. Not only will this not ruin your diet but it will also help your body assimilate your protein intake.
Here is an example of a fruit salad you can prepare for after your workout. The sugar content of the fruit helps you to recover and grow by sparking your insulin levels after your training.
